If you look deep enough, I suppose that nearly all of my builds , since the early 2000's, are somewhere on the net. LOL
I enjoy doing build threads because of the people, like you, Mike, that contribute to them.

Actually, in the case of the Stuka, it was the landing gear that gave it away first.
That gear is absolutely unique.

Ironically a 1:1 scale of that Vega has just been restored. http://www.heritageaircraft.net/aircraft/lockheed-vega/

Thanks !
I knew that she was being restored, but I hadn't seen all of those pics.
My Luscombe is coming along. The fuselage is in the prime/fill/sand/fill/prime stage.

If I can finish getting my shop unpacked I will start on an Aristo-craft Beech Staggerwing this spring.

The Aristo-craft Staggerwing was designed by Walt Musciano. I think Aristo-craft was the house brand for Polk's hobbies. The copyright on the manual is 1976. It is a little smaller than the Royal/Marutaka kit. I expect to fly mine with a .40 size motor. Interestingly, like the Royal/Marutaka kits it appears to have been made in Japan. The quality of the kit appears to be very good but it is definitely more sport flyer than scale model. The wings are held on with rubber bands and the plans show a three channel model (rudder, elevator, throttle). The manual mentions when to incorporate ailerons in the build process but the plans don't show them. As a three channel model the plans show way more than scale dihedral. There is also a passing mention of retracts but the wings are pretty thin and it would take some pretty massive re-engineering of the lower wing and fuselage. The manual calls it a G-17s but that is pretty much wishful thinking. When I get started on the build I build it with bolt on wings, reduced dihedral and added ailerons in the upper wing. I've already picked my color scheme: red with the logo from the 1932 Miskatonic University Antarctic Expedition on the side of the fuselage.

Thanks for the links I enjoyed looking at your build. I love the way the gear was done. I wish the laser cutter had an english language version opf their website. For those of you loss on translation or a little lazy this airplane has a wingspan slightly over 59", the fuselage is about 41" long, and she weighs in at 3 lbs 4 ozs. I was unable to decode the engine size what did you put on it hipik634?

Tom is one of the many expert craftsmen in this brotherhood that doesn't mind hanging out with us lesser mortals. He work is dynamite and watching his builds has given me a real education and a lot of good ideas to copy. Here are a few photos of my work in progress. The first photo is how I received the project, partialy built after the ownr passed away in his 80s. I received it from a friend in FT. Collins Colorado who's club received it as a donation. He already had a DR.1 and was kind enough to give to me. The remaining pictures showmy progress on the fuselage from this weekend.
