Easytiger

I thought you were trying to build a venue instead of wasting our time. Some of us have to put forth great effort to commuicate with this wonderful technology only to have it edited by some 'Contest board'.

To ask for imput for a new and exciting venue only to have it deleted out for approval by some individual is not only decidedly rude but a sure fire way to cause the venue to be still born.

Having been involved with a number of modeling competivive venues over the years many have been destroyed with just that type of thing. My most recent almost full time activity, RC pylon which is a very small contingent has been hurt and some venues destroyed by this thinking.

Respectfully, John

Take it easy...I cannot disagree with you. I'm sure bob noll had his reasons why, and I'm not going to question them too much. It's just not that important, and it's not worth starting a fight over. Instead, I would rather spend the time writing the rules, which I have been slow about. If you have any input, just give it to me via email instead.
Bob has inherited a whole bunch of work with VRCS, and frankly, I would like to make life easier for him rather than harder. There is plenty of room to change stuff later, right now we just sort of need to stabilize the club a bit. There is no guide as to what is legal and what is not, so at least that's something I can contribute towards...

Anyway, John...deleting the thread was NOT my idea, I was asked to do it. Obviously, I WANTED your input or I would not have started the thread!
All the best,
Curtis

Thank you Curtis for the reply and explanation. I in no way intended any kind of flame war. It was just disheartening to make the effort to communicate with this technology one key at a time only to be deleted for no apparent reason.

In regards to the organization, of which I have no knowledge. May I suggest when you do get to writing the rules that you do get public input just as with that original thread to consider rather than just private mail. This could be the key to the success of a competitive event. Something I am excited about.

Your Friend, John
