It'll do loops rolls and stalls/spins

My 80 has a 14/6 prop and at 9000 rpm it performs pretty well

ok thanks.
hey i just bought another plane. im addicted to the Large Giant scale models now.
i got a 94" Senior telemaster. I got the Arf verion. Not finished yet but i had the AWESOME idea.
My Robin Hud is 83" Wingspan and the Telemaster is 94"
That Telemaster Wings fit's really good on the Robin Hud. of course i have to find a way to mount it but my question is, can this robin Hud fly with this Telemaster Wing? is it possible? it looks like it would. i would like to try it but before i do i need to get u guys advice first. Have u ever tried anything like this?

Sure it will if you get the plane balanced correctly

Still flying Good with no issues. Does any of you have a larger version? anything more that 100" WS?
I would love to see some photos of a Giant Robin Hood.
As u can see i love large Trainer Type Planes. Even bought a 94" WS Senior Telemaster.

I have some friends that took the Robin Hood 99 plans and shrunk them down at the printers to 63". They used 52 four stroke Magnum engines and it worked out well.

I have a 80 that was scratch built from shrunken 99 plans. It flies like a Cub. I bought the plane already bult and do not have the plans.

As a matter of fact there were two large versions, an 80" and a 100". I have a set of plans for the 100'' if you are interested. They are 30 bucks. let me know if you are interested and I will dig them out and have them copied. It takes a G-38 or bigger. It is a huge plane! I built one in the early 90's. You may be able to find the glass cowl out there in model airplane land.

to answer your question, probably five sizes. .10, .25 maybe a 40-60 and 80 and 100.

+1 this is what I remember

I have a 99 and a 80. But the 80 is made from scratch. I have a couple friends with 63's but they are from scratch also.

My Robin Hood 80 is an ISC kit. That might be when World Engines was distributed or owned by Indy RC. My Robin Hood 10 and 25 are World Engines kits. I always had the idea that some of World Engines kits were manufactured by Pilot. Does anyone else think so too?

There's a story floating around on the Internet somewhere written by Maloney himself where the WE kits were made in Korea.

ISC is a Indy RC brand Name but were probably made in the same place?

"Is your kit a World Engines or an ISC International kit? I have two World Engines and one ISC kit. I am currently building one of the World Engine kits.
Most of these kits didn't come with anything but the plans. Some did come with an information sheet and a copy of the Robin Hood 99 instruction booklet. The Robin Hood 80 is just a smaller version of the 99. (I also have one of those.) I have one with them and one with out the papers. Neither of the papers really contribute much to the building of the plane. Most all of the information you need is right there on your plans. A couple of problems you might want to be aware of that are present in both of my W.E. kits (probably all kits). One is that the firewall is not cut to the size of the drawing. A trip to the hobby store for some 5 ply 1/4 inch aircraft grade plywood and less than an hours time and you will have one that fits and is a lot better wood than the original. The other problem is that the landing gear plate in the bottom of the fuselage is 3/16 inch wider than the F-3 former. I just cut that amount off of one side of the landing gear plate and it fit perfectly. Simply put wax paper on your plans, build the right side of the fuse first making sure that all of the wood is pinned perfectly to the plans. The plywood fuse side goes directly on the wax paper. When all wood is glued solid, unpin it from the plans, turn it over, put a fresh sheet of wax paper on it and build your left side fuse half pinned directly to it. Both plywood side fuse plates will be next to each other separated by the wax paper. This will assure that you end up with a right and a left fuse side. (You could built two of the same side if not done right.) This actually is a fun kit to build and I am enjoying building mine. I am building mine with a flat wing (no dihedral, I made a new flat dihedral brace with my new 1/4 inch plywood) and functional wing struts. I could possibly send you copies of my papers if you like. I hope your friend has fun building the kit.

This is a truss frame and long term the butt joints come loose.

My recommendation is to use some 1/32" ply as gussets at all the butt joints for longevity.

Also if the longerons are not spruce or bass wood, you had better make them that way

The windshield is flat so you better use some heavier acrylic than you would normally use but I have seen curved windshields on them. The sun works on mine so I have to keep it covered when not flying at the field.

My 80 has a OS 91 Surpass II and is over powered.

The plane flies like a Cub

I was reading the quote by Jim Whitaker and he mentions taking out the dihedral . . .

If you do, it will make turns a chore in that you will need to fly it like a real Cub and use your rudder in the turns or slave some rudder in with your ailerons.

There are a lot of unanswered details on the Robin Hood. You will have to do some of your own engineering.
