Dan thanks alot, I hope I can start building soon. Seems like I'll never get done cutting parts, Pages upon pages of parts never seems like I'm getting anywhere, but I'll keep pressing on, nothing is better than having a Waco, you have built from the ground on up. <hr />Hi, I have this1/5 scalePicaWacokit Grandpa started it, he built the center section of one wing and started another wing. Everything else is untouched. I can not find the cowl or theplans. I have the stickers and instructionbookwith step by step to build the plane. All the the plastic parts are there. I have been thinking about selling it. I am in Springfield oregon It would have to be picked up. I will be making a trip to Turlock California in a few weeks from now. I might be able to meet on my way down. Grandpa has been gone for quite a while and I would think he would want this kit to go to a good home.

I bought my lights from them. Yes I can wait till you measure them. My plane is coming on so slowly that a few days won't make much difference. Your help will be seriously appreciated.

Hello all

Repairs are going good I have the tail section hardware installed for the adjustable stab. I’m redoing the cabane struts like Bill did on his Waco out of tubing it is easier then I thought (thanks for the help Bill) I decided to repair my wings instead of building new ones we have a guy in the club that is good in repairing broken parts he did a great job so all I have to do is recover them. Robert has agreed to repair my cowl & wheel pants that will save me $$$. (Thanks Robert) With all the help I’m getting I hope to have all the repairs finished and back flying soon.

I am happy to report that my maiden flight of my Waco was a success.
First flight was rather nerve racking. It was tail heavy, elevator throws were too high, it wanted to dive all the time, and it coughed a couple times which made me more nervous,but after adding about 4 oz. to front of cowl and taming the elevator dow to 75%, the second flight was GREAT.

Dan, looks like those repairs are coming along just fine, you'll be in the air in no time. Me I'm still cutting, not in much of a hurry though,I have all winter long, so I'll take my time and do every thing just right.

Hope you all are getting in some quality fly time. The weather here in Nebraska has been quite nice and we are taking advantage of it. Winter will be here soon enough. Dan your repair looks like it is coming along nicely. Keep us posted. Nice looking WACO Wayne, glad the maiden went well.

Gentilemen, Enjoy monster planes. Dan, Robert, BILL I'M CONSIDERING A SAITO 180 FOR MY PLANE, WHAT DO YOU THINK. I HAVE A OS 120 ALSO. DON'T REALLY KNOW WHICH ONE TO USE. I'M THINKING THE 180 MIGHT BE TOO MUCH. wHAT DO YOU GUY'S THINK?

There is always the left stick for too much engine. I would be concerned about how much of it is going to hang out of the cowl. The 120 will fly the model very well. I've flown one on a ST .75. I've flown several on the OS FT 160. And I've flown one (kind of) on the Maloney 125.

Thanks guy's, Bill I will probably use the 120. Its the one I wanted to use in the first place. Robert I don't use gas engines. I have a pretty large supply of nitro engines, all new I bought a mans collection after he was no longer able to fly. I never got into gas engines, but like everybody else seems to be leaning that way. I have a Os BGX-1 35cc engine nib, and I can't seem to give it away. Maybe I have to chang my ways.

Guy's almost done cutting, have around 12 more small parts to go. Seems like i've been cutting parts for a life time. Robert you mentioned something about a part in the firewall that stuck out. If you can remember which one it is, please let me know, I can resize it for my plane. Going to run a 120 or 150 Saito. Also considering a gas engine. Still haven't made my mind up yet. Robert definately don't want oil all over the plane. BGX-1 still here.

George the part that I was refering to as being out of round was F-4B and F-4T. In the photo below of a cowl sitting on the F-4B template the arrows are what I' m talking about.
