Steve, I would get a price on 100. If needed I can send you one of my shirts so your printer can see it first hand. I personal think we need to add one more color to the shadowed area I know that would increase the price but I think it would be worth it.

Hello to all,
I am located in France and building the 1/3 scale Waco Barth kit.
The gear delivered is prepared for wheels with an axle hole of 8mm ( meaning between 1/4" and 3/8" ?).
I cannot find the right wheels and no answer through hundred pages already read...
May someone help me, please ?
Many thks
Patrice

I think it was bill had mentioned earlier that someone had the stencils, I think that alone would save some $. I will call today and get a round about price on 100. As for adding another color, if everyone doesn't mind throwing in a few extra bucks I'm sure anything is possible. Let me know.

So I just called my screen printing buddy and he asked me if I had a digital image that was used in previous years. I'm assuming that would be the same thing as the stencils you were referring to? Bringing a shirt to him will only show him what we want, but without a PDF, or dxf file or something, he would still have to draw it up in his computer. This is all new to me, so bear with me.does anyone have a digital file like that?

Hi Steve, I did (sold) the last two runs of shirts... I talked to the printer here in MA and he said the screens are his and not for sale????? What's he going to do with them???? The the first run had the best graphics though. They were not screened but were computer printed to the best of my knowledge. It doesn't cost much for the printer's artwork usually so I'd explore that. Dan or Bill may have an original and your printer could see what we did.
I know Bill is happy that you're picking up the gauntlet. He'd want to see the drafts of the artwork before commiting to print. Good luck and thanks for taking on the project. Mitch

So, with that being said, maybe you could send one to me dan? Of course you would get it back. Unless someone has a better thoughts on it. Do we want to re-design it? Or go with the same?

pegasefifi,

For Barth 1/3 you can try this link for Sullivan. Toward bottom they have some 152mm wheels that could be drilled out fo 8 mm axles I believe.

just my 2 cents, I would love to see another run of shirts. Mine are about shot now. For some reason the ones I had pealed up along the edges. Have others had this problem as well? Thanks for the effort on this, it is appreciated!

Well, I don't know, do we want to keep it the same again? Is this other guy going to try to come after us for copy right infringement? BTW, my guy said he would put it on a flash drive for us in case we decide to go somewhere else next time. Not like he has any use for it. On another note. I finally got to maiden my super skybolt today. It's been ready since the end of October, but the only nice days we've had since then were spent at work. Well, today the stars and moons lined up. It was about 50 with maybe a 4 or 5 mph breeze. I know, I know. It's 75 in fla. Anyway, it's got an OS 120 surpass pumped and all I can say is sa weeet!! It was probably the best maiden I ever had. I spent almost four hours flying the snot out of it. It's got unlimited vert at 3/4 throttle. I know it don't have a round engine but it's got two wings, and sure is a good time. If I had the skills I know it would hang on the prop.i do have a question though. I feel that it's balanced quite well, but when knife edged, it pulls hard towards the gear. Is there a cure for this? Other than that it flew really nicely. Makes me want a Waco even more. Here are a couple of pics.

A Waco flies nothing like that Skybolt. Think of a brick and an arrow, the SB is the arrow.
On the Knife edge issue, does it do it in both directions?

Great looking Skybolt! I had the kit from GP some time ago, but I ended up selling it.

I wouldn't even think of comparing it to a Waco. Not even the same animal. As for both directions, I don't know. I'm no 3D pilot, mostly scale, so I'm lucky if I can get a descent knife edge with a properly set up airplane. I tried it once with the wings in a left bank, didn't work out so well, didn't even bother trying it again. It was flying straight and level hands off, so I knew it was at least close on cg.

Thanks johnboy, , I really didn't do much to it, just fixed the incidences and covered it and installed the radio gear. It was someone else's build that was abandoned. It was in rough shape though. I put maybe 30 bucks into on two rolls of crinkle Kote. Every thing else I already had. Did I mention it was free?

When you guys say hardwood for the forward half of the stringers, what are you guys using? Spruce? Bass? Either?

I use Poplar for the less flexing areas and Aspen for the more flexing areas.

Dan. The original was designed to work with the tan shirts. The blue and maroon shirts make it look as if something is missing. I'll listen to color requests, but I have the final decision. I'm thinking maybe yellow this time.

I was gonna say, if you draw a picture and pay someone to put it on a t shirt, it becomes his? That's odd. Yellow would be nice. What about yellow with the Waco in front of an orange sunset?
