Bill, good to talk with you and thanks for the info. i changed engines out to the os 300 and your welcome, Mitch, was great to see you again and chat, stay healthy . Dan where in the world were you hiding i ran that place about 1/2 dozen times, you must have blended in with all the yellow shirts that were hanging on the flight line so thick i couldn't see the runway .,Michael- waco-dream, sorry i missed you i had to change plans at the last minute. unfortunately weather did not prevail for the event. my legs started to give out about 1 p.m. so it was time to go home. there's always monster planes and next year.

Silly question, how would a DA-150 be on the proctor 33% waco? I don't want ballistic performance, but I don't want to struggle either. I live and fly where density altitudes routinely hit 9,000'. After flying a gp waco with heavy, underpowered saito r33 radial I want more power!

Hello all
Can some one tell me how to get the color and cross it to automotive paint. I'm wanting to get as close to this red as I can. N2269V

Dan,
Sometime ago, I was able to contact the WACO factory, and got the cross over number for a color I was thinking about using.

Hi Dan, I got my Waco color by bringing a laptop to the auto paint dealer with a pic of the full sized I was replicating.....just like you have. I asked to see paint chip sample books and eyeball matched what I wanted. Mitch

My fiance is a graphic designer, and an art director. For $60 she will come up with whatever we would like. All we need is the photogtaphic basis, and concepts. I might be able to get her to do it free 8f we can get a couple free shirts lol!

Finally got time from the landscaping and had good weather, so jumped at the chance to pull the WACO out and fire up the Saito 125a. This is the second of this size and found at a swap meet for $80!

Anyway, took a bit of tuning to get good transition and full power, although hard to lift the nose and set the needle solo. Final tweaking will have to wait till at the field with some friends.

Only negative is I found it won't fit in the van assembled. Bummer.

Ok, how about this- since I want a shirt, and a new design I will pay my lady for it. I'm supporting her for the time being, so I might as well put her to work!

Do we just want it to say "Waco Brotherhood" under the graphic, or the Waco aircraft company logo? Do we want to keep the yellow waco?

Gentleman,
This is one man's opinion,if Codiddley is willing to pay and his Lady is willing to do the design work then why do we need a FINAL say, it should be a done deal.
I would say post the design in the thread, then wait a few days for comment pro or con then run with it. By all means "NO DISRESPECT" intended to Dan or Bill.
We are still waiting for the original "artwork" thats been 6 months,it doesn't take 6 months to put it in the mail, because at this rate we'll never get the shirts.

I certainly hope a DA150 is enough!

Tmac48 your Waco look absolutely beautiful. I know nothing about how altitude affect the engine but I still think the da 150 should be fine . Can you tell us how much she weights mine weights 29 lbs less covering and paint also can you post a close up picture of the decals on your cowl. I have black decals with a white border and the black is not centered around the white vary good. I will try and post a picture later today. Can't wait to hear about your maiden flight hope you can video it.
