Dann, Thanks, it sure was great to be back in the learning mood with flying! Yes the G.P. Waco is a quick get in the air type plane but for what it is it sure flew and looked well in the air, again we forgot video, maybe next time. I was just happy to have something in the air. Again thanks,

Yes, onto it now! Will have a bit of rework to do, the strut is facing in a forward direction and it should face rearward, have rearranged the assembly so as to correct this but now have noticed that the axel has a rather large amount of toe out and I need it to be straight or preferably a little toe in. I think after having a good look at what is involved I think I can fix this by swapping the bottom half of the strut left to right, about to do this and see if that does the trick.

No that is not possible to do due to a bracket that is attached to the main strut that the centre and rearward supports are attached . Swapping out the lower strut assembly did not fix my problem. I will now have to make a new attachment where the strut is fixed to the fuselage and then reposition that bracket that the centre and rear braces are attached to. In other words I need to twist the strut until the axel is facing in the correct direction and reposition the bracket that the centre and rear supports are attached to.

I, for one, was off to Amsterdam for work. Brought along, and read, Ray Brandly's WACO company history book. Very enjoyable reading - highly recommended. I found it through Abe Books, by the way; a useful on-line market place where second-hand book stores list their stock. I've bought lots of books through Abe Books, from vendors large and small. They're at http://www.abebooks.com/

I received my 1/5 scale plan set from the AMA today. Looks good - and they included Bill's part tracings without my asking for them. Also included was the revised building manual, but their reproduction process is obviously not tuned for half-tone, so the images in the manual were very poorly rendered, and mostly useless. Better to download the manual from here (I'm pretty sure it's an attachment somewhere in this thread), or from Outerzone: http://www.outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=3269

Bill, I guess CRS must have struck again! I could have sworn that I asked to join the brotherhood years ago, but I can find no record of it anywhere! (Maybe I was dreaming!) I just picked up my third Waco YMF a little while ago, (Christmas gift from my wife!) and I'm just getting back into flying after a medical "vacation". I'm getting some new eyes (glasses!) for Christmas, so I'm back in the saddle for sure! (gettin' older ain't for sissies!) Any member number would be great, as long as I can get one! I'd also like to get a T-shirt or two, if possible. I see Flyer Dave joined up, too! He's a great guy, and lives fairly close by. We've done some trading in the past. I wonder if he'd let that Waco go? ( I sorta doubt it!) Thanks in advance for considering my membership in the Brotherhood, and Merry Christmas to all! Happy Trails!

I'm sorry to say there are no more tee shirts available. I can make a small order but they will be kind of pricey. If there is any one else interested in having more shirts I can get a price for a small order.
Welcome to the Brotherhood looking forward in your build please post pictures along the way we need a new build to keep up with.
