I used to have a 40 size Vega pattern ship with an HP 40 and retracts. Nice flying ship. I also had a Vertigo and an Atlanta. All nice flyers. I still have my Tippo. You guys are bringing back some nice memories.

Default WHAT THESE ARE???

Hi,

I am not sure about all of them, but the one in the upper right of your web page I believe is a Kittyhawk models "Skynight 6" It was a very popular pattern ship in the early 80's and flew a lot like a Phoenix 8. Hope this helps...

If not a Skynight 6, could be a Phoenix 5 by Skyglass.
The forward canopy and long forward dorsel fin leads me to the "5".

Sorry Ed, I lost track of this thread and did not see Your question.
The planes are going to a swap in NE chicago unless someone is interested. I am only helping to find info on them but I can steer You in the direction of the seller, If You would like to talk with Him?

Also there are other items, Kraft system parts, other engines and a Kavan geared starter. plus misc. items

The vega kit" Is that question aimed for Old RC Aviator?

( I changed the URL's recently and if You have questions Please ask here or PM)

Thanks; Dan Z

Sorry it took so long to get back to you Dan. I think skyz is right about the Phoenix 5. The other two I'm not sure of.
flht99b, How much for the Vega kit?

Thanks, Jay.

Thanks for the help, I think we can call it a phoenix 5.
I could not find any info on Camanche either. The (unfinished one) wing is covered in what looks like posterboard material?
all need some minor repairs but for the age are in fair condition.

Thank's all

Default 60's-70's Pattern Ships

Hello:
No one has yet to mention Jerry Nelson's Sultan.
It was a great plane and he did great things with it in competition.
Early 60's.

I had a Vertigo with a Super Tiger 60 Blue Head and Rhom retracts painted like the Blue Angels. That thing would go into the vertical an roll right out of sight. I lost it in the clouds once so I nosed over and just let er scream rolling straight down to pull out. Man I loved that ship. I hit a fence with it flying off a dirt road in Upstate Ny. This was when I was young and very foolish and had money to burn. I have my own field now. Memories pressed between the pages of my mind. AHHHHHHH!!

That picture does look like a Phoenix, I have both a Phoenix and Vertigo kits from Skyglass if anyone is interested. The Phoenix wing was sheeted with wood but the glue allowed it to separate, I plan on cutting new wing cores for it. The Vertigo is still in the box.

I still have the vertigo skyglass kit for 60 eng. If anyone is interested. Kit is complete, Plans are blue print and due to age are hard to read,I dont think any experenced builder would have a problem.
