Default Looking for old Thunderchief propjet

Hello all. I was curious to know if anyone knows what I am talking about. I remember seeing this plane in the Tower Hobbies catalog a bunch of years ago. It was a .40 sized F-105 Thunderchied propjet. It might have been a Global kit, but not sure. If anyone knows this kit or knows where plans might be found, please let me know! Thanks.

The F-105 was made by Hanger-1 and they also made the F-4. I have a kit of the F-105. It's a sentimental faverite of mine as I was around them in the USAF in Asia.
It can take up to a 46 if you have the kahoonies for it but they are smallish so you would expect some really fast passes with it. They aren't a really easy build but nothing too far out of the ordinary.
They retailed for about $90.00 at that time. Plans are impossible for me to get copied, too rural a location. The wings are foam though so you would have to do your own cutting and that could be a problem.

Well thanks for the info.....now all I need to do is find one. That does not sound like it will be easy.

Your probably right as they wern't in business for more then 2 years or so and I doubt that this was their top seller. The f-4 did better and I have flown both of them. The 105 is the better profile as it goes by.
I'm getting on in years and would probably sell mine, but allowing for market conditions it wouldn't go for $90. You'll have to let me know if your interested.

Hey. Yeah, all my internet searches have come up with absolutely nothing on this craft. I am a bit tight right now or I would make you an offer, but if I find myself with some extra cash I will make you a respectable offer. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of the kit/finshed model would you? Maybe the picture on the box? If not, no worries. I appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

I am still looking for one of these kits. Anyone else have a lead on a kit, plans or even a photo of what the plane looks like? I have seen some ultra rare kits pop up on eBay but I have yet to see one of these...

Mine is long gone, sold years ago. The only F-105 plan that I know of is a C/L model by Robin Hunt from Flying Models. It is with some redesign probably convertable to R/C. I know that I can do it asIi have the plans. However that's not to be construed that i'm going to do so anytime soon. I have enough work to last me the rest of my life.

Yeah I saw Hunt's F-105. I used to be the 2nd in command at FM.

I'm hoping someone out there has something on this plane!
