Default Engine identity help needed...

I purchased a large number of engines from a fellow who flew back in the 70's and 80's. This is one that I haven't been able to identify. It appaears to be about a 60 or likely a little larger. Is there any one here that can tell me what this is?

Thanks,
Arlen

The names Kraft and Kavan came to my mind, but I am hoping someone knows for sure. There are no other markings on it other than a serial number on the bottom of the case. The carb is not marked in any way.

I'm pretty sure it's a Kraft 61. Basically, an OS 61 FSR-ABC. Should turn up pretty good, but needs a small prop... 11x7 1/2 or 12x6, to really make some power.

And it's not in any way a copy of any OS motor. The motor is still made and sold by RJL/MECOA and is fine example ot a late 70's early 80's period motor.

Kraft engine, they are a ringed engine not abc,has a composite rear cover that sometimes shrinks with age and can cause running problems, there is a peplacement part available to solve the problem.they are a good classic pattern engine.rjl still makes them today.

Thanks for the help guys! Looking my engine over a bit more carefully, it seems to be a bit worn so I probably won't try to get it running. It looks fairly nice though, so maybe a collector will want it.

don't let appearances fool you. if the bearings are smooth give it a try, as long as the cylinder is not scored and there is no play in the rod it should run,if the power is not what it should be a new ring usually will solve the problem, cost about $12.00
