RE: Short kits or kit availability
Hi - Here's a couple of links off the top of my head (err... mouse):
http://www.mybloo.com/coosbay/laser/laser.html (older deBolt designs etc)
http://www.homeandhobbysolutions.com/index.htm (Taurus, Kwik Fly, Primus etc.)
And for a full kits of the Joe Bridi Kaos, Super Kaos, Dirty Birdy etc. try here:
http://www.bridiairplanes.com/crew/index.html
I would also post this question in the Classic Pattern Forum (actually a sub-forum under the Pattern Flying main forum). These guys know where to get the "oldies but goodies" for sure - tons of info on where to get short kits, full kits, plans, wing cores, unbelievable build threads... etc. This is their forte. I go there early and often and it's great.
Good Luck,
Todd Ewing

Problem here is in that during the early era it was referred to as plain aerobatic. The term pattern did not come along and generally be used until later on. Thus using era terms, you will not find any "Pattern" aircraft prior to about 1964.

Hi - here's the link for http://lazer-works.com/list.html - He has short kits of the Lou Andrews Aeromaster / Aeromaster "Too", A -Ray, Trainermaster and many more great designs as well. Also try here for a full kit of the Lou Andrews Trainermaster http://www.earlyrcmodels.com - a very good looking kit. Early RC is now owned by Wing Mfg (I'd check their site as well). There's a link to Wing Mfg on the Early RC Models site.
Enjoy,
