Default Firebird Kit= Vinatage?

I'm building a Craft Air Firebird kit I believe was kitted in the early 80's. Is this considered vintage.

This year, any design before January 1, 1974. The cutoff is a rolling 35 years, 35 years from January 1 of the current year.

Wow.. ok.. i didnt realize it went that far back., I beleive it was kitted in the mid to late 80's? Some of the wood had a worm hole or two.. does that count ...
