Default Stinson L-5

I am looking for a copy of the Stinson L-5 plan by SIG or a good L-5 plan that could be scaled to 48" span. Thanks Bill

The SIG stuff out of the 1960's and 1970's used to be reintroduced as older Berkekley stuff. They used a bunch of 5/32" stripwood. Not easy to find anymore.

If you are going to power if via something other than rubber, it will fold up. Not strong enough of a design, except for in rubber power. I rerorked the Fairchild some time ago, and it then flew like a tank running at full throttle. One weekend, one flight, one touch down, one way back home.

You may do better with a Jetco design then.

Roy Vaillancourt has some excellent 1/4 scale and 1/3 scale plans for the L-5. 1/4 scale is 102" wingspan, reducing by half would give you slightly larger than you're looking for.
