Perfect Gas Tanks
Can anyone tell me if the Perfect Gas Tank line is still being made? And if so, where to find the products. Also can anyone direct me to a web page or internet site where I can view the listing of the tanks and sizes, etc.
Finally, if still available, where to find them? Thank you, Frank Schwartz |
RE: Perfect Gas Tanks
You can find them on ebay. I found them with a google search for Perfect Gas Tanks. I believe the manufacture in no more.

I have several new in the box. Most 1/2A size. Picked them up at an old Hobby shop in South Georgia. They were going out of business.

What size(s) are you interested in??? Which style? Wedge? Rectangular???
Just curious. Bob |

If it's got to be a Perfect brand tank, eBay.
But Brodak has 198 fuel tanks that they sell. http://brodak.com/fuel/fuel-tank.html |

To Stickbuilder:
I need the little small rectangular tenk for a Cox .010 as used in the Lightning Bug kit that used to be available. I think the Perfect #5 might work as I read it is 1/2 oz...but I see in the Bordak listing that they have one just like the Perfect #5 which is half ounce, and they also have, much to my surprise,a 1/3 oz tank like the Perfect #5, that is rectangular. I think that is what I need...the 1/3 oz. I think the little Cox .010 will run a long time on 1/3 oz...I have no idea what the Perfect 1/3 oz tank number would be....but the 1/2 or 1/3 oz Perfect rectangular tank would work for me. Do you have any of this? To HighPlains" Thanks for the Brodak link...I am supposing that Perfect is out of business now and Brodak is making them...however, they have no crossover references....still, I was amazed at how many styles of tanks they carry. Thanks again. Frank Schwartz |

Frank.. I have several nib perfect tanks somewhere.. I'll look later today and see what I have

RE: Perfect Gas Tanks
The ones that I know about are used and probably have had fuel left in them. It would probably contaminate any fuel that you would put in for an .010 engine... I'll look but don't think that I have any new ones that would work for you.
Sorry, Bob |

RE: Perfect Gas Tanks
Darn it, all of mine are wedge, also.
I bought a batch of them when an old local hobby shop was going out of business quite some time back. I have #1 (qty 2) 1/4 oz #2 (qty 1) 3/8oz #3 (qty 7) 3/4 oz #17 (qty 1) 1/4 oz #18 (qty 5) 1/3 oz #19 (qty 2) 1/2 oz but, like I said, they're all wedge shaped, mostly for c/l planes. Maybe one of these days I ought to build a 1/2a control line plane. Trouble is, I build at about the same rate the glaciers move... |

ORIGINAL: Michaelj2k Perfect is still around but the fuel tanks are no longer advertized. http://www.perfectpartscompany.com/P...eMainFrame.htm Good find! I noticed that the website looked a lot like Sullivan's, then I saw at the very bottom that the address is the same as Sullivan Products. Different phone number though! Sullivan site: http://www.sullivanproducts.com/ Not sure what the story is, but I'm guessing Sullivan bought Perfect at some point and still sells some of their products... |
RE: Perfect Gas Tanks
How about making one? Paper pattern, brass or tin, fold and solder!
