Please Help Identify This Model

I was given this model and have restored it to flying condition. I would like to know who offered it for sale. It has a old, "very old" fiberglass cockpit/engine center fuselage. The wing span is 72" and I have mounted a old Fox 40 engine I think. No markings on it only Fox. The head measures the same as a OS so I guess its a 40 LOL. The twin tail is kinda similar to a P38 Lightning.
I would also like to know what it was called so I can name it correctly in my Spectrum transmitter. If someone has intimate information it would be nice to know the CG also. And maybe just how old it really is for grins and giggles. Thank you all for your help!

Your model may be a SNAPPER 40, kitted by Aeromodels, a way back when, I think they kitted 2 or 3 vesions including a smaller 1/2A version. What say the rest of of U out dere in the vast ID of da 'net, best regards frpm Wickenburg, Arizona,

On double checking, the Snapper kits were produced by Areocraft, not Aeromodels, Sorry 'bout day.

it's pretty much always safe to balance a plane with typical airfoil at the thickest part of the airfoil, which should be real close to the spar. flat bottom, semi symmetric, or fully symmetric will always fly good enough initially, to be able to make more precise adjustments as you get a few flights on the plane.

Thank you so much, guys! Sorry for the late reply been traveling, just now back to building and flying. Found a picture of the Snapper 40. This Airplane has a fiberglass cockpit/engine center fuselage. So I believe it is something different but sure looks the same. Maybe a custom build by someone with incredible talent? The main spar is 4" in from the leading edge. It is quite tail heavy checking the balance 3 1/4 oz to add at the engine front. Kinda sketchy trying to punch a hole in the sky with it this tail heavy. The model is ready to fly would hate to add that much weight. No options to move the battery around as you might imagine. Guess I can mount a car wheel weight in the engine bay.
