Top Flite T-34 engine
I need to know a no bs engine assessment for a 15.5lb Top Flite T-34. I have a RCV 90 sp but will go to 1.20 if necessary. There is a lot of wing but can a 90 pull her around the pattern with safety in scale.
Thanks, Nickel

RE: Top Flite T-34 engine
Here are the "no BS" specs:
Engine: .60-.91 cu.in. (9.8-14.9cc) 2-stroke
.90-1.20 cu. in. (14.9-19.6cc) 4-stroke
Now, this all works if the model is within the weight specification: 10-14lb (4.5-6.4kg). 15.5 pounds is above the design weight, and people have had heavier. More weight detracts from flight performance. The model was tested with the engine sizes in the specs at the maximum weight of 14 pounds. With more weight, you're on your own. The original design team is no longer with the company, and they did not work with heavier versions of the airplane.
