You'll need to make sure the antennas are outside of the carbon structure to insure good reception.

A 28 mm diameter motor is the largest size recommended, yes.

I just purchased a Siren. I'd like to use a brushless in-runner, and would like to use a 3s batt if possible. What motor and ESC would you recommend? Looking for max performance.

Thanks,
Pete

We can only recommend what would be listed in the instructions or something similar. Anything else would be up to you. Take measurements of the motor area and see what may fit. Likely, you'll have to do some rebuilding of the nose for anything much different that what's already there. Weight is the major consideration for models like the Siren. Be constantly aware of what you're doing with regard to weight, and keep the weight down.

Hi Bax,

Thanks for the info. I'm a bit confused. The instructions say you can use a brushless system, and Tower's website recommends a prop, spinner, and wiring for a brushless system, but it does not actually recommend a motor and esc. Is there a specific model of AMMO motor & esc that Hobbico would recommend for this plane?

Thanks,
Pete

Just get one that fits with approximate KV of the original. Close or a bit more powerful won't hurt. It's mainly a space available thing.
