GP RV-4 Flaps
I am finishing up an GP 60-90 ARF RV-4 started by some one else and noticed the flap control horns were installed just like the aileron horns. The illustration in the manual shows and states that they are to be 180 degrees out from the aileron horns, pointing backwards that is. Since these are already installed will it matter if they are left that way or should I put them like the instructions show? It would require longer control rods. Thanks for your help.

The flap horn is mounted 180-degrees from the normal way so that you can get enough flap travel. Since they're held on with screws, it should be no matter to unscrew them and turn them around. If they are not able to be removed, it won't hurt anything as they are, but you may not get enough flap travel.
