Great Planes .60 kit extra 300s
Hey Bax,
I just finished up my GPextra 300s .60 size kit. What 3 bladed prop would be good for this airplane in terms of pitch and size? I was thinking a 13x8 master airscrew. I'm using a saito 100. If you think a 2 bladed would be the better choice, whats the best 2 bladed prop? I'm looking for some vertical, not extreme, no hovering, just basic moves I guess I would say, knife edge, stuff like that.
Thanks

Check with the Saito people about propellers that will allow the engine to turn in their best-suggested RPM range. That's how you choose a prop: First, you select a prop that turns the engine in the proper RPM range; Second, you then choose a prop that turns that RPM range AND will fly your model in the manner you desire.
We really have no idea what the "proper" propeller for your airpane/engine combination may be. It depends upon what performance you like, and the final total weight of the model.
