Default WHERE IS EVERYBODY?????

Gosh, real helicopters must be as popular here as the r/c ones are at our field.

Let's get a thread going. Let's see, ummm, okay... uh, anybody know a good helicopter joke? Me neither.

How many servos does it have?

My instructor pilot (r/c) is a retired Army aviator, flew rotary and fixed wing. Great guy, has some good stories. Punched out of a Mohawk when engine failed. was less than 1000 feet up, lived(obviously) to tell about it.

Got another friend, is a tech rep for one of our surgical implant companies, flies -58 Deltas and Blackhawks for Army Reserve, vetted to DEA looking for pot fields--he has some good stories, too.

I know somebody that knows somebody that one time at this BBQ there were a few Vets there and One of the Guys flew a F-86 Sabre in Korea. He was Hit by a S.A.M at about 15,000 feet and he was doing about 600mph of course he lived but he said if he were to get in that position again and have to bail out he was just gonna have to go down with the plane or shoot himself before the plane impacted the ground.
He said having to bail out at that speed was HELL, when the S.A.M hit the plane he was scared but when he bailed he thought he was dead......
