Default Helimax EZ

I was flying my EZ today and it was acting very funny the front motor was way too hot to touch, the back motor was cool. Is there a motor issue with the EZ? and is there a good replacement motor or should I keep it stock?

How long have you had yours? On mine the back motor was getting hot and finally stopped working after about 60 flights. I went ahead and bought 2 of each motor from Tower, I haven't found any after market motors that will work, if you find some let me know. I don't think it's a defect or anything like that I just think they wear out.

IMHO the stock motors are junk. I didn't get anywhere near 60 flights.

The motor that fits the roto fly is taller and will just bolt in. It seems like a different machine. That motor comes with a pinion and one motor would need the pinion pushed on farther and the other pulled out. I think around 0.100 each way is enough.

I bought the LAMA motors from aero-nuts.com, they are a bit taller but they will work. mine flies longer, higher, and With more authority.
