Default helimax ez problem with upper blades

Hello, I appreciate any help. My EZ upper blade does not seem to be moving. The motor for this blade engages and the rotor gear turns but the blade is not engaged. Any ideas?? Thanks.

There MUST be a PIN or BOLT that secures the upper hub to the shaft. If the inner shaft that turns the upper blades is not attached to the hub (that connect the upper blades), you should be able to pull it off. Some upper blade hubs are molded to fit shaped main shafts, your's could be stripped.

See the pic below (as a reference, even though it's not your heli)

The shaft that drives the top rotor goes all the way to the bottom. There is supposed to be an allen head set screw to lock the gear to the shaft.

If you look on page 11 of the EZ manual, the part labeled 02 is a collar that is forcefit into the lower gear. I seems from what you say the gear is turning but the collar is not or the coller is not set-screwed to the shaft. This is the only way the upper blades will not turn, as for as i can see. I had a collar break free and found the same problem.
I hope this helps.
