Default HeliMax MX450 SX, Spinning outta control!

Hi All,

Trying to get my HeliMax MX450SX flying for the first time, and at about 80% throttle, the heli display tendencies to rotate counter-clockwise while on the ground, and that motion is extremely exaggerated when the heli lifts a few centimeters off the ground. Of course, I cut the throttle to set it down to prevent a disaster, and upon ground contact, the heli will spin a few times counter-clock wise on the ground before coming to a stop.

My first guess is the tail rotor, while spinning, isn't doing it's work to counter the main rotor's rotational force. Do I just increase the rear blade pitch? If so, how much? Or is the gyro suppose to take care of that automatically? I have the Futaba GY240 gyro. I'm running the heli on a Futaba T6EXP.

Please help!

Thank You

Try reversing the direction switch on the gyro.
