RE: Optima 9 reverse polarity damage
ORIGINAL: juanjulian Hi today doing my own harness for my project fried my new optima rx due to reverse polarit. Does this rx has an easy fix if sending to fix, or should be buying a new one?
Thanks Juan
Thanks Juan
Depends upon the amount of damage. If just a regulatorburnt out, a service center may be able to replace it.
This if they can findthe sameregulator at a reasonable cost/freight price.
Had an Optima 7 recently which had excess voltage applied.
. It was replaced because it was less than $5<10 dearer to replace than have it repaired+freight etc,
alsomuch faster and better peace of mind.
Suggest email direct to your distributor for their service cost vs cost new Optima.
