Default Hitec Gyro

I have a IIG3XA gyro which I have to use on a Futaba 2.4 7 Channel transmitter. t apparently will only let me use on Channel 5 because the 3 channel switch isn't programable for the gyro3 modes. My want is a definition of the Standard Mode and the Heading Hol Mode I have an idea what they are but need confirmation. Can you explain please?
Thanks - Darryl

I don't know how the programming of that transmitter works but you need to use a 3 position switch assigned to a channel. If the 3 position switch is fixed to a specific channel then you need to plug that channel into the port labeled "switch" on the gyro.
