Default Servo General question

How are servo load ratings calculated?

Calculations based on motor size and type?
Load the motor by itself can pull or push using a maasuring fixture of some sort?

Push or pull load based on a servo arm hole?
If that then the inner most hole or outer most hole. Yes I know, just curious where the measure; of say 80oz; is based.

If rated 80 oz what loads with a solid rod push pull system.

I am bulding the largest 3-D plane I have ever bought and my servo's exceed mfg. recomendations.....rods too
Just curious where that load rating comes from. Figure I ought to know this.
If I use long arms on the outside hole..... How much is lost.

Cheers
Blue

OEM's rate servos with a one inch arm for the US market. A 100 oz-in servo should lift 100 ounces with a 1" servo arm. Push-pull is of no consequence.
