Default HG-5000 gyro combo pack, cant select proper servo

Hi Guys,
I have recently purchased Hitec HG-5000 gyro combo pack with 5083 servo.
As per manual the first step it to teach gyro which radio is being used.... (Jr 9303 in my case.)
The manual says, hold full left or right rudder and turn on the radio, and hold the stick for 10 seconds. the leave the stick at neutral for 5 seconds, then power off the gyro and turn it back on. I did this part, then I go to select the servo type by holding the menu key for 5 seconds. It does go into menu, but when I give left or right rudder stick it does not change the servo type. The servo type is currently set at defalt which is "any analog servo" "Third light is on." the Hitec 5083 servo is not responding at this setup.
I have plugged in hs 65 to see if the gyro is working on not. The gyro is working with this servo
Please let me know what is wrong here!!

Thanks
Asif
