RE: Aurora 9 radio
Everything is assignable to including flight conditions to any switch, single or combined with other functions, mixing etc...Flaps are assignable to whatever you want as well including slider or three position switch.
The Aurora is incredibly well equiped; there is not much that it won't do... but the absolute, best thing, is how straight forward it is to program via the touch screen and large icon interface. This is the key thing that will set this radio apart from other systems requardless of their feature list.

Excellent. How far away is this now? Days, weeks or months?
And is there an expected release date for the radio yet? Days, weeks or months?

hi
ive never used telemetry. not sure what it really is.
my question is:
will the telemetry in this system display rpm of an electric? i.e. see headspeeds on a chopper on the tx?

Did you ever find out what the transmitter output is in milliwats?
I think the eclipse transmits at 350mw. Will the Aurora be more?

300mW is bit high isn't it?
Most countries outside of the US only allow transmitters with an output less than 100mW. Or is that just for 2.4Ghz?

No, actually 300 is on the "normal" side I think. I belive my 72mhz jr 9303 transmits at 750mw. Thats actually pretty nice! For us long distance FPV guys or aerial photography guys. But I still can't wait for the new aurora module! I'm a huge fan of hitec!! and multiplex!

RE: Aurora 9 radio
Hi Mike
I wish the Koreans design team had spent more time to 'contour' the front panel. It presents a very 'boxy' look with lots of edges and crevices. On the other hand the programming logic, 2048 res, telemetry, Big touch screen and AFHSS are some of the best features put together…bravo.
Will the Hitec 2.4Ghz module fit / work with Futaba 9C, I am long overdue to switch over to 2.4Ghz?
I am also considering Jeti module/Rx for 9C upgrade, pls guide me.
Regards
Doc
PS; i did post a similare query on FG Hitec thread

I would hope to see the manual in a couple of weeks. Radio delivery is still targeted for mid/late August.

RE: Aurora 9 radio
Mike,
I noticed in the sales documentation available on the Aurora 9 that servo speed can be set. What I am curious about is whether there is the ability to chain channels and delay the triggering of the second channel.
I tend toward building scale and warbirds and one of the the things that seems to add cost and complexity is the need for gear door sequencers.
Do you know if it is possible to have the actuation of the gear switch result in one channel being used then after a period of time have another channel be sequenced? So if I flip the switch for gear up the gear come up then the doors would close (doors on a second channel).
Thanks,
Chris

RE: Aurora 9 radio
Yes, there is a function "ACC" (Acceleration) that can be applied to the slave, but in your situation don't you need the doors move first and then the gear when going down and then have the gear move first then the doors when going up? If that is the case then you could set up two p-mixes with opposite masters and slaves (Door->Gear) (Gear->Door) and have them both assigned to the same switch but have them each tied to a different flight mode so they would operate in the order needed when the proper flight mode is selected. I'd have to play with it a little more but this should do it, and that is without using servo speed. You would still have that option to set the speeds as you like and play with the ACC too.

RE: Aurora 9 radio
ORIGINAL: Wayne Miller Hi Mike, Can you tell me which radios the Aurora 9 can "buddy box" to? and would a special trainer cord be required? I know different radios have different channel assignments and different wiring for the trainer cord. Thanks for the great information. Fly4Fun, Wayne
