Default savage hump pack

Bought a hump pack for my savage X the other day came with the battery and charger but is missing what Iam guessing to be the wire between the battery and the wire coming out of the reciever. Did Ijust get screwed or is there another way to do this someone let me know. And also if anyone out there knows how long Iam suppost to charge this thing before Iput it in that would be great to know thanks.

I think you need to buy a different switch because the factory 4 AA battery holder doesn't unplug from the switch.

The switch plugs in to the RX then there should be a pig tale to plug the battery in to. Some have a 2nd pig tale to use as a charger lead. That way you dont have to disconect the battery to charge it.

I guess I dont understand what wire you think is missing. The battery should just have a pig tail with a conector.

ok I will try and it explain it I have a savage X that came with the 4 aa battery pack. Now it disconnects from the wire in the car that goes to the reciever. I bought a HPI hump pack off of ebay but it wont plug into the existing wire that the 4 aa battery pack plugs into I hope this helps cause I really thought the hump pack would work for a 4.6 or a XL.

Im guessing that the wire on the hump pack has a broad terminal,

where as the original 4aa pack has a narrow terminal,

what i done on mine was to trim off the extra width of the hump pack plug to make it the same size as the narrow terminal,

but one of these also will work http://cgi.ebay.com/Futaba-Universal...item5197df60f6

and will prevent the battery from being installed incorrectly

ahh I remember now. The aa battery holder has a real small narrow conector. Your hpi battery pack has a conector like what the servo's have.

I just bought a new switch that had the more common plugs on it. It only cost a few bucks and didnt have to deal with splicing on new conectors
