When ever I have to get in the diff to do some work. As long as the diff is good I dont worry about it.

Try the spit test, a drop of water or spit will sizzle on the head at about 230F for 5 seconds or so before it evaporates.
Temp guns and the like can easily be off by 50F seen it many times..
If it takes more than 4 seconds for a drop of water or spit to sizzle off your good to go.
If your gun reads 230 @ 5 seconds on the spit test, just move your loop up the head until it reads the same as your gun.
Water don't lie.

So, the servo was defective out of the box?

And you still drove your new $500 truck?

I will be getting one for my son for his birthday next month. We both have onroad cars (mines a hpi rs4 18tz, his hpi sprint 2 flux) we are ready for some off road action. I hope this truck can take a beating and hope the engine can hold up too.

That's weird that the dogbones are coming bent outta the box. Got a picture?

Also, that sucks that the servo died during breakin. Every first-run product has issues, they changed quite a bit on the new X4.6s.
