Deciding between Savage flux 2350 and Flux HP and Savage X4.6 2011
Im looking to buy one of these,I really like the looks of all of them, please tell me the pros and cons of Flux 2350 and HP,Im also worried about ESC getting fried as I read a lot about it,how can I prevent that? because where I live there is not more than 1 hobbyshop with the flux and I dont want to pay for an ESC because they are very more expensive here,I currently have a Kyosho inferno US Sport 2 buggy but I like to get into MT and sell my buggy if I can! I also put headlights and taillights on my buggy

RE: Deciding between Savage flux 2350 and Flux HP and Savage X4.6 2011
Flux HP has MMM (Mamba Monster) based ESC and a good quality 2200kv motor. 2350 has MMP (Mamba Max Pro) based ESC and a 2350kv motor. The Mamba Monster esc in the HP is slightly better and higher rated (more amps).
Flux HP can run on 6s lipo out of the box, while the 2350 'can' run on 6s, you run the risk of melting the motor and ESC. The motor is rated for 4S max.
Flux HP has 'super' high torque steering servo (still not good enough, but a worthy attempt I suppose for an RTR), 2350 does not.
HP has 2.4Ghz radio, 2350 has bad AM radio
HP has classic Red body, 2350 has Blue
Both have Bullitproof diff uprade
The 2350 is usually about 20% cheaper than the HP
The Flux HP will break if you run it on 6S a lot and bash it hard, but that is to be expected, 6S is a LOT of power. Both of these trucks are recommended to run on 4S, and in this case, the 2350 is fractionally faster. If you do not plan to run on 6S lipo, the 2350 is the better deal. I have a 2350 I run on 4s and it is more than fast enough for bashing.

If I get the flux HP,and run on 4S,it wouldn't have much difference with a 2350 on 4S? im thinking that if I get the HP and run on 4S,i will go easier on the ESC and Motor and they will last long, what about the 2011 4.6 savage X,is that a good deal? cause I have a nitro already,I just don't know to get a brushless MT or a Nitro oneim being driven crazy casue of these cars! I am really bad at choosing stuff I just cant decide

If you don't already have the stuff you need to run electric (and don't want to have to buy it) get the nitro. Both of the Flux models perform CONSIDERABLY better out of the box than the X 4.6.
I strongly recommend the 2350, it is really great value, especially if you already have a radio and a servo from another car that you can swap the crappy HPI ones for straight away.

Well the problem here is I dont Have a charger and I dont have Lipos,so I need to buy those,I really like the blue paint scheme of the flux 2350 and would take it over the flux HP but that woulfn't be a problem? cause I can swap the red body for a blue one at the shop right? The reason I like the 4.6 so much is the new GT-3 body and black chrome rims, can I swap my rims and body at the shop with those as well? thanks for your great info, you truly are an expert in RC

You won't fry the 2350 ESC using 4S (2x2S battery) lipo no matter what you do. If you do, send it back to castle for replacement, they will replace it no problems. I hear that their support is very good. But honestly, you won't fry the ESC unless you do something silly
Yes, all the bodies, wheels, etc are all compatible between the Flux HP, Flux 2350 and X4.6.

well the reason im so worried is that I live in iran and if it gets broken I dont have access to castle so,if it dies,I have to buy a new one,and in here no shop will replace it for me for free or for a small fee, they will tell me to get a new onethats why im so worried, you wont believe the price of spare parts in here! they are crazy, recently I smoked the tires of my buggy and they are almost completely flat, and if I want to get a new set,it would get around 60$

It's the same here in Greece, RC parts are very expensive.
You will not burn the ESC of either of these trucks using 4S, no matter what you do. Do not worry. If your ESC burns, it was faulty and you were unlucky. it might happen. But what you need to know is that both of these ESCs are fine for the Savage on 4S, and both have good protection circuits, they should stop automatically long before they burn. Honestly this is something you don't really have to worry about.

well thats a reliefbut they will replace it for me if it was faulty so I think this problem is solved, the only thing for me is to decide between 2350 and HP,they don't have 2350 currentlly at stockbut I hope they bring it,the Flux they have now is the old Mhz transmitter one :-( and its priced around 790$very expensive, but as soon as the 2.4ghz is here the price of this will drop

RE: Deciding between Savage flux 2350 and Flux HP and Savage X4.6 2011
The 2350 is better value for money for sure, if you plan to only use 4S, but I don't think it will come with 2.4Ghz radio. Maybe in the future. Only the HP comes with 2.4Ghz at the moment.
If you need the radio that comes with the truck, you are much better off getting the HP with the 2.4Ghz radio. If you get the 2350, you will not be happy with the radio, it's very bad and so is the servo. I already had many receivers and servos at home, so the 2350 was a good choice for me, but if you need the radio get the HP with 2.4Ghz, it will be the cheapest option. If you have another radio and servo you can use from another car, then get the 2350.

Because we don't normally allow multiple threads on the same subject, it's no problem though, don't worry
