Ive got an savage x with an axial .28 spec 1 engine in it and and i cant seem to get it to tune well. For example one day it would run like a top and the last little bit it runs like a bag of hammers.

Air leak? Half tank lean? Its definitely something to do with the tank, engine and whatever works with them (fuel lines, in line filter). Maybe even your pipe? Air filter? Carb?

savage has a half tank lean issue. there are several tank mods you can do. I just tune my from a little over half tank and i know when i fill up it will be rich but after a couple passes at WOT she starts to get better.
