Shock Upgrade on HPI Savage X 4.6 (pre-2011 version)
Hey guys this is my first post on these forums,
Ihave decided to replace my stock shocks on my Savage X 4.6, but im reading so many mixed reviews on what to go with. I've had my stock shocks for about 4 years now. Irun mostly on grass/dirt/pavement and do a little bashing here and there. Considered putting heavier weight oil, but Ijust want to replace them.
Looked into the Losi LST shocks, however, with the tower conversion kit, Ido not think my RDLogistic Twin pipe would fit, so that's out of the question. Also, Ihave considered Big Bore shocks but I have some concerns with them:
1. DoIneed a conversion kit seeing as my Savage X is pre-2011(dual shocks)?
2. If I am going to be bashing, is the single shock worse than dual shock, even if its from stock savage to Big Bores?
3. Can anyone confirm that they are prone to leaking?
4. Are the alloy Big Bores worth getting over the plastic Big Bores?
Any input would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks all,
-eslatts
