RE: 60mph Savage Speed
How would 1:1 gearing run I wonder? Like 20/20t that would be insane. Hmm I do have a 20t pinion I could try.
Still running a 3spd even tho it sounds like im not

That truck right there is a testament to two things, first a guy that is willing to do whatever he can to make the project happen. LL is one hell of a builder and is coming up with some cool stuff and a lot of trial and error to make it happen. Second, being powered by the best modded engines and pipes on the market. I have had other modds before but the power I get out of ERCM engines and pipes are pure raw power like I have never seen before. Robin does amazing work, from what I have seen he is the best. The proof is right there in the videos. We are looking at a nitro that is reaching speeds that I would have laughed at a few years ago and with a monster truck none the less. I hat goes off to them.

RE: 60mph Savage Speed
Thanks bro I've had other modded motors too and ERCM out performs hands down. Like you said proof is in the run. Last year I would have been laughed at for thinking a nitro savage could reach 60. Now we're headed past 70! My new goal is 75mph

This is true greatness. Who cares if someone can buy an expensive battery and brushless motor and hit 60mph. And?
The level of creative geniushere is outstanding, andI would love to read the cliff notes as to what you've done to it reach these peaks....unless it is top-secret. ;-)
Also, you need to get someone to help you film. ;-)It's very difficult to "feel the speed" in your videos when you get a 1 second shot of it zooming past your stationary camera.

RE: 60mph Savage Speed
Thank you very much! It has been an incredible journey that's not finished yet. There are two build threads on savage central that completely document the ever changing evolution of this challenge "50mph how to get there" and "project 65" My current gearing has me lookin at 79mph. I would love to hit 80 then I would have the fastest savage in the world hands down.

I'm thinking of buying a small camera to put on the truck but the go pro is expensive and I have heard enough reviews about this other small camera I'm looking at. But yes I do need a third hand in filming lol

All just little stuff though.servo horns, throttle linkage kit, Ti dogbones, integy rear hubs, rpm centre skid, body, making a carbon fibre battery box top, tranny needs work, gonna need some xo-1 rims if I ever want to push crazy gearing like you are which means I would need more gears too.

Yep it is a continued work in progress for sure. But you already have the best and that's the motor and pipe. The rest is built around those two things.

You got that right. I already had 2 ercm pipes and the motor was the first thing I bought for the build. It will take alot of fine tuning and trial and error to to the level your truck is on but it's well on it's way to 60+ mph.

You live in my home town ... You should come see one of the Nova 28's run !!! I think it will be faster then the Picco's.........but either way we are in Winnipeg, we also own and operate the RC track at Gran Prix amusements....

Yeah. I hear good things about the novas. Hopefully one day I will get one, it's on my rc wish list for sure but not in the budget for now. I would really like to run the picco this summer then (if it's in the budget) swap it out for a clocked nova 28 and see what (if any) kind of mph I gain. I do plan on checking out CRE raceway this summer and picking up some werks fuel from you guys. Organized racing is something I have wanted to be involved in since I started the hobby but unfortunately my hectic summer work schedual is always in the way.

Just to be clear of my intentions....Both Robin and I can build you engines so fast that they will literally rev themselves to death if you let them.... Both the Picco and the Nova are totally badass engines ......... I Am eager to see what Robin does with a 28-7 when he starts tinkering with them....See if he likes them as much as I do.... Both sides of the coin we are talking about badass modified Italian 28's....

RE: 60mph Savage Speed
The nova has been talked about as a next motor for me but there are a few threads out there that have deterred me from purchasing a nova.
My next setup anyways is a twin picco setup anyways..... Project 100 maybe???
