how would this combo work for converting a savage x ss to brushless

I wouldn't recommend it, that's very high kv, it'll pull a lot more than 120A in a Savage. Think around the 2000kv range with a decent esc, and get good batteries. Speaking from experience with a Flux.

Yep, that's about the right specs. Note tin the description that it recommends a 160A esc. In any case, the 120A should be ok for 4S running. Shame to have to stick to 4S though. I wouldn't recommend running primarily on 6S, but I would recommend having the option. The 150A esc isn't that much more expensive IIRC.
