OLD TRUCK RS4MT need help please replacement shocks
First of all thank you for the help.
I am new to this hobby and was given a "barely used" HPI RS4 MT (1). Part #556. as my brother in law recently passed away.
Long story short is the motor overheated and I figured a new motor was worth it. The shock caps keep coming off and I have tried the loctite method to no avail.
What companies to go to or better yet, to avoid? I saw google searches that said to stay away from integy?
also does anyone know if mt2 bodies require different shock lengths?
Thanks in advance, Bob

Just seeing this now, hopefully you're still around. And shame on everybody else for not giving a newbie a hand.
You can use whatever shocks you want to, provided the length is in the ballpark of the originals. The stock shocks are 12mm, of which there are a multitude of choices on the internet. You will need shock oil and special grease for the o-rings. Assuming you are just bashing, I would recommend 40-50 wt. shock oil (associated and losi are good brands) and associated's "green slime" for greasing the o-rings. A shock pliers is recommended but not really necessary, just don't use regular pliers - you don't want to mar the surface of the rod. Watch some youtube videos on how to rebuild shocks, it's quite easy.
I have a .pdf of the RS4 Nitro MT instruction booklet if you need it, not sure how to (or if I can) attach it on here - but it is also available on HPI's website.
