Graphite Lube for Bearings?
I was reading a pretty good article about drivetrain and bearing maintenance in RC Driver mag and it got me thinking, would dry graphite lube work in bearings? My thought is that it would work adequately as a lubricant and would be a bonus over oil because it wouldn't pick up debris, but ultimately oil is better because of rust resistance. Thoughts?

Oil is the way to go. It will leave a film on everything inside, while graphite will not. True, graphite does happen to be slippery, but it's best suited for applications without alot of high speed movement. Oils are designed for this purpose. And you are right about the rust too.
