Default Savage flux hp problems

Hey guys I am new to this r/c truck thing. I bought a savage flux hp upgraded the motor to the biggest one and running 11.1 v venom 50c 5000mha. I run one set of battery's through it and every time I go to run a second set play with it for 10 mins roughly. Not being real hard on it and it just stops moving and the blur speed controller won't turn back on second time this has happened now. Dude at the hobby shop says it can handle these battery's I just want to drive it longer then 20 mins without it screwing up. Can anyone help? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks guys.

You haven't replied about which motor you've put in the truck. The biggest one doesn't say much. However, if it is one of HPIs Flux motors, then 6S is no problem and if someone told you the cells of the batteries, combined was too high, then you've been duped.

Post some more details and/or pics if you want some more help.

The standard esc is not the bottleneck, it's the motor. The 2200kv model works fine with 6S.

Otherwise consider a Leopard 2000kv 4082 motor - it has more than enough power and grunt and handles 6S without any issues. RCECHO.com has them sometimes.
