SS vs. 25
ok... this is a question that i dont think anyone has asked yet (i searched the forums)...
why is the ss faster than the RTR?
other than radio gear, what else do you need for each? (just to get it running, no hop ups)
which one is a better truck? (these two are the most comparable trucks on the market)
how is the radio gear on the 25 compared to that of the T-maxx (just cuz i know what the TQ is like)
are the SS dogbones stronger than the 25?
according to Senor DingDong, these are the differences with the truck, just incase anyone was wondering...
SS
Ribbed Aluminum tuned pipe
HD Chrome plated dogbones
adjustable upper arms
clear body
2 shoe clutch
Front pick-up tank with primer
pull start
no radio
RTR
Composite pipe
Updated standard dogbones
no adjustable upper arms
pre-painted body
3 shoe clutch
Rear pick-up tank, no primer
rotostart
radio included
post any other questions you may have about these two, so search-button users can find it easily

RE: SS vs. 25
And the ss has diff dog bones and only a 2 shoe clutch. if you want to build your truck first, go with the ss. IF you want to bash rite away, go with the rtr. I personally want the rtr version because its got everything i need to bash. And you also have to add your own electronics to the ss

RE: SS vs. 25
The SS is pretty much a Savage 21 with a 25 engine.
With a tuned pipe the RTR is just as quick as the SS.
The HD dogbones, as far as I can see are the only real benefit with the SS, as you will need to upgrade the clutch, flywheel and the fuel tank (terrible self-leaning problems).
The radio is, IMO, better than the T-Maxx equipment.
The RTR needs a battery for the rotostart, fuel and a starter.

RE: SS vs. 25
i think the 25 comes with better stuff than the SS. ive got the 25. the only bad thing about the 25 is that you dont get to build it, but you get to take it apart.

RE: SS vs. 25
The SS Does come with the Heavy duty dog bones. I have the SS and Love it. Yes it did cost a little more because of the Clutch and tank, but I was able to upgrade as I built.
