Default d/r steering

probably a very newbie question but can some one please explain to me what the dual rate steering on me mx-3 radio does?? the instruction manual (ha what a joke this piece of paper is) does a terible job of explaining anything about this radio.

Dual rate AKA "DR" is in ln laymans terms a limiter... If the dual rate is hooked up for your steering servo,like most cars,it will only alow you to turn the wheel so far if its turned down.... If you turn it all the way up,then it will alow you to turn the wheels all the way to its max travel limit
