Default @#%$^& brakes

it was a PERFECT day for running my savage and when i apply my brakes it idles down too much and shuts off. the engine temps are PERFECT also but the stupid brakes idle down too much. is there a way to adjust that?

ya, bump the idle up just a little bit. I hear different stories and methods, but I like Associated's the best (from the RC-10GT manual) + my own preferences.

Start the vehicle (wait for it to warm up). Set the vehicle on the ground. Tighten the idle screw and raise the RPM's until the point that the vehicle starts to roll forward on it's own. Then back it down until the vehicle barely doesn't roll anymore.

Works like a charm. Plus, if the RPM's are too low, the clutch will slip and the usable RPM's aren't there yet. There is no reason not to maintain a bit higher of an idle IMO. Gets on the RPM's and clutch engagement faster= faster take offs.

make sure your throttle trim isin't set to high so it holds the carb open, and closes it when brakes are applied

Yeah, check that your carb isn't closing when the brakes are applied, there should be a 1 1/2-2mm gap with the throttle off.
