New girl into Nitro
Hi,
I just got a Savage for myself and am slowly learning the ropes (aka just took it out of the box and tightened the screws). It was raining all day today so I was bummed not to get started on the break in. Just wanted to say hi and let you all know how helpful your posts have been as far as choosing the Savage truck!

RE: New girl into Nitro
lol, my LHS is quite expensive and I already bought a fuel filter and a new fuel line. Looking into a different pipe as well since I hear the stock ones are not anything to write home about. I am hesitant to ask the lady at the HS how much the filter is but maybe i will just have to wait til some auctions end on ebay......

RE: New girl into Nitro
Anyone got a good suggestion for a "cheap" pipe to put on the Savage 25 RTR. I have an friend with an SS pipe on hand but I think there has got to be something out there better.

[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDVK7&P=7]Hot Bodies[/link] makes a good pipe. I've been running one for a couple gallons & have no complaints. It helps a lot on the bottom & mid ranges but doesn't do much top end. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Nitro! Now get in, sit down, shut up & hang on!! lol Killer choice on the Savage!

Check here for all the latest and greatest for your Savage.
http://store.savagess.com/
Even if your not buying here, it'll give you some ideas of how much the LHS is trying to hose you for.
Oh and BTW Welcome aboard!

RE: New girl into Nitro
I know this is probably a stupid question but I am quite confused. The antenna wire for the RTR is so long. Is it bad to cut it to fit in the tube? I thought only a little was supposed to stick out the top of the tube? HELP!!

I will do that. I didnt think that cutting it would be a good thing. But I didnt know if it should run a certain length out of the tube. Thank you for your help!

Well my savage now has a girly look and I made the wire do a corkscrew down the side of the tube. I think it looks cool personally
