Does anyone out there use fuel filters?
I use one in my Savage 21 & one in my Ofna MBX. Both are [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFRL5&P=7]Dubro[/link] filters. It's a crazy cheap hopup that I'm sure a lot of people skip on but for less than $3 why not run one?

I don't see how a fuel filter hops anything up. I don't know about the .21 Savage but my .25 RTR Savage has a fuel filter built into the fuel tank pickup and a second filter inline is not needed and a waste of 2 bucks.

RE: Does anyone out there use fuel filters?
i have been running inline fuel filters on all my cars and trucks for 15 years. ive seen no evidence at all of air/fuel ratio changes, but i certainly see the possibility of it causing an issue being a auto technician by trade. a restricted fuel inlet can cause all sorts of lean a/f trim ratio problems, but again it all comes down to maintenence, a splash of fuel cleans mine right up every 8 or 10 tanks. if you seen the crud that makes its way toward your 350.00 engine in just 8 to 10 tanks of fuel, you would never run without one, and i keep my trucks wicked clean

Im with the doc on this one...I just looked in my filter and there is definately visable crud. Not sure how many tanks but I would guess at least 10. Keeps smaller crud that gets thru tank filter from carb and that would cause lean condition.I run fuel filters on all mine too.

Same here, (with slight dissagreement)
I fitted a fuel filter because I don't trust the one in the tank. It DOES have an effect on the fuel flow, it restricts it ever so slightly, thus, stopping the 'self-leaning' problem (a bit), as it evens out the flow.
I am not going to argue with anyone about this issue, as I have run the truck with and without the filter and IMO it makes a difference.

I was actually surprised at how clean mine looked the last time I checked it but I still can't find a good reason not to run one. Some people put over $300 into just the engine so it would be insane to not run one even it it just keeps a few grains of dirt out of your engine.

Not that I know of. There has to be some sort of resistance or it wouldn't filter anything. But if it's that big of a deal, you could always get a [link=http://www.perrypumps.com/nitro_page.htm]fuel pump[/link].
