RE: HPI Savage with a saito 100
Hey all
thanx for all the ideas. I ended up making a heatsink that bolted between the valve covers and head its a two part unit (one for each side. I shaped it to look like the top of the origional head except larger.seems to work fine no more overheating but I need to figure a way to get the body to cover it all ,still have enuff air flow and not look all hacked up. I have no Idea what top speed is but its about the same as my buds stock savage. mine just gets there a whole bunch quicker.[>:]
Ill finish it and get some pics up.

Cool.
Why don't you try putting the engine on its side instead of vertical. You might have to redesign the gearbox thoe.
I am working on doing that on my .40. Hopefully the engine still works because during the weekend I flips the truck, the airfilter fell off and alot of dirt got into the engine. [:@] When I opened it up to clean it, it had the whole piston and head valves covered with dirt. It looked more like sand than dirt. The sleeve doesn't look scratched and still has good compression so it just might still be alive.
How about some pics of the cooling sinks?[sm=biggrin.gif]

why not try some sort of water cooled setup like the boats? they make all sorts of marine engines, just rig a fuel tank a pump and a battery.
