RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
thanks Surpluzz, When that body bites the dust I'm going to get the same one, proline makes some great lids, very durable, that one can hold the weigh of my truck on its roof, and its not hitting the roll bar

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
Yes, Proline. My rollbar comes to the bottom of the rear window and I usually just grab the rollbar which is inside the cab. I could and have however, just grab the rear windshield to pick up the truck and the body supports it fine. Pretty tough. HPI tek, I have the real version of yours sitting in my garage with 37 inch tires. I had to take of the wheels to get it in the garage. Pretty cool. 1970 F250.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
Well yesterday was my b-day and over the weekend I got a body, paint new cutting tools and an INTEGY highflow air filter. Took it out today and had a blast. The Proline 1980 chevy body seems to be really tough. Had it on its lid and it held the wieght fine. The Air filter seemed great. My bottom end seemed more alive. There was a nice snap right from the start.
Hopefully more to come at x-mas

i have a question you guys. having trouble with my 3 speed in my savage 21. it dosent seem to be shifting right. i ran it for the first time the other day and i can quite get the gears to change. How do I adjust the transmission and what kind of oil or grease should I use for inside it? thanks

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
no oil, no grease, there is an hex head bolt you need to turn inside the tranny. There is a rubber piece on the left hand side of the tranny, under that is the bolt you need to turn, turn out to make the shift point lower, turn in to make the shift point higher. On the Three speed there should be two of these adjustment bolts, one for second and one for third. However, the manual will tell you how to change the shift points. If you don't have the manual, go to the HPI website and download the manual

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
thanks a bunch dude. yeah the manual did not have that 3 speed setting only the 2 speed. you should see whats left of the 2 speed. the metal engager clutch thing is complety trashed, it looked like sombody ripped out the one screw that was in it with their bare hands. ill have to post pictures tomorrow after work. I was alos wondering what would be a good shock oil weight for the stock shocks on this and what kind of springs would be good for a racing setup?

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
I run red and green springs one for each corner and 37.5 weight oil to minimize bounce off of jumps. It depends on the track also. I race on a technical track with a few large jumps and some smaller ones.
