That's a very pretty Truck. Do you let it go outside? or is it a house Truck?[sm=shades_smile.gif]
HEHE you said pretty[X(]. I dont think he runs the truck with that POS K&N filter. If he does then he is asking for trouble.

If that was my truck I would put it in a glass box so no body would mess with it [sm=shades_smile.gif]

Thanks. I haven't run them much but they are pretty soft because they balloon up quite easily.

^ Yep they did get them right, been running them for a little over a gallon now with some nasty hits to the rear and they are holding up.

Mi Custom savage

Su custom Savage is great! Very nice! How does it handle? (the lowered TVPs make it look like it should tip over less)

That thing is sick. Although the tank placement might not be the best.
Its not, the rear tank placement was why I busted out the stock Savage tanks. When I back-flipped it from hitting a dip in the ground, the wheely bar hit the ground hard as it helped kick the nose up. When the Savage came back to all fours from that cool looking back sommersault, I noticed fuel was splashing out. Moreover, since I had alot of excess fuel tubing on that thing, one of the exhaust pressure lines got fouled up between the spur and CB and thus why the Savage was revving in the vid but going nowhere. I just about cooked those clutch shoes.

savageJim
man I love the twin savages
I want to build one out of my current roller but cannot find a decant motor plate for it
What did you end up using?
For this one, I used the New Era Models twin engine Savage kit. Actually, I built this New Era Models kit as a shelf queen, but after seeing so many HB Twinzillas running around on u-toob, I decided to take this sucker off the shelf, slapped on RPM arms and put the stock plastic X-bumpers, towers, and easy-acces diff housings.

I had to also mod the right TVP, the New Era Models TVP as it is does not give enough space to actually put a CB on th second engine withou the teeth mashing up against the TVP. On the left TVP, the same thing. The little "h" shaped piece that holds the throttle arm also does not offer enough space for the left engin to mount a CB without the teeth hitting it. I modded a Revo bigblock mounting kit using the "h"-like shaped piece by grinding it with a Dremel until there was enough space to clear the CB teeth.

Also, I hate the fact the New Era Models uses inches; so to be consistent with HPI's metric, I retapped all the inch holes into metric holes. That way, I can use all HPI screws, bolts, and nuts.

My metal XL before I got back to stock plastic. Bought it as you see here, but luckily the guy had all the stock plastic. Can't wait to get it light again, it's almost double the weight of my friends stock XL. Oh and I have to repair it EVERY time out without fail (7 times).

This is my newest upgrade..... FLUX shocks. Had to take 2 spacers out to get the ride hight correct, but it looks pretty cool...
