i have savage 25 how do adjust the spur gear and slipper clutch. want to make sure i am doing it right? thanks in advance

run the nut in all the way to lightly seated and then back it off 1/2 turn. i run 1/4 turn out from seated with the higher horsepower engines though.

Depends on what engine you are running. I found nothing less than fully tight works for me running a Picco .26 Outlaw with the 7” Zilla tires. If you are running a stocker or something equivalent you should be able to tighten fully and back off about 1/4 -1/2 turn to allow more slip. With the powerful engines though a little slip can cause the spur to melt around the trans input shaft. Ask me how I know.
