You made the right choice... After owning a t-maxx I vowed never to buy Traxxas again, and the revo is no exception. TRAXXAS HAS WEAK STOCK PARTS!!!!! Yeah you got RPM replacements, but you are thowing money into anything -Traxxas- which you could use to build an awesome performing Savage.

I too was very dissapointed in the revo. We got one in the LHS that I work at and it is a fancy t-maxx, in all the wrong places. They didn't make it any more durable just more crap to go wrong. It literally has an on-board computer. Plus the suspension is sure fun to look at but stock savage vs. stock revo savage you could drop from a plane and it wouldn't bottom out. I droped our shop revo from 3' and it went clunk as it hit the floor hard!

ya, but your are talking about a 3 foot high jump. Take the two and run them across a bumpy field with some one to two foot jumps with some six foot or less curves and the revo will leave it in the dust as the savage rolls on its lid after the bumps bounce it out of control.
If you want a truck for high jumping buy the savage. If you want a well built all around basher, buy the Revo
Oh, just an observation, the 3 foot drop seems to be all savage owners claim to fame.
I personally dont like the way every thing is crammed in between the frame rails.
If you like watever truck you own and have fun with it then your livin, so go for it!

I was blasting my savage across a freshly graded lot in my neighborhood that was filled with some pretty large chunks of dirt and rock(I guess it wasnt graded very well they did it with a dozer). Some were well over a foot high and I didnt flip it once.My suspension is totally stock so its nothing special I just think it has a lot to do with driver skill.I imagine the revo would be just as good.I also drilled a light pole on the same day going pretty darn fast and the savvy just bounced off,I mashed the throttle and she tossed a bunch of gravel and was gone in a cloud of smoke. The revo might do it but I know my tmaxx would have been trashed.

I'll admit that the revo is smooth off of the line but it should be with an on-board computer. In fact it should make me lunch! The revo is cool but i'd take a savage any day. Plus if the Revo is such a born racer out of the box; WHY DOES IT HAVE REVERSE????? You can't back up on a track.

The REVO has one purpose and that is to kick butt on the track. And I beleive it will do just that. And the savage is ok on the track but for bashing you cant beat the savage's durability you just cant hardly break the thing. Ive owned 2 savages, two t-maxxs, and a mad force. Traxxas uses weak suspention components on there trucks and the REVO is no exception they do this to keep the weight of the truck down but sacrafice strength. If you wanna race buy a REVO if you just wanna hard core bash a savage, Or Buy a REVO and wait until RPM makes all new replacement parts for it and spend even more money on it and you will have a bullet proof Racing/Bashing truck.

Grow up man.... what kind of info is that?....
What happened, did a Traxxas beat up on you once
Anyone with a truck thay are happy with and enjoy is the right truck for them.
I happen to own a Revo and like it so far. I think it will be a good all around basher and racer.
I have owned MANY trucks and from exsperiance I picked this one to be a keeper

^^ I agree because if there were only Savages then it would probably be no fun at all! You need Traxxas's too along with all the other companies out there!

my buddy just got a revo 3 days ago. break in was weird as it seems hard for the new engine to coop to it. WAY less durable than a savage. did 4 cart-wheels and it broke a suspension cap. i cart-wheel my savage almost every run and never broke anything. there is a reason the savage is so heavy, ITS DURABLE. a 9lb revo cant hold much.

Check out the "revo destroyed?" video. This will give a good view of wat it can take.
My lhs the only thing prone to breaking is pushrods and arms. he said you should prefer arms over chassis
