new air filter is over heating my engine

Default new air filter is over heating my engine

just got a motor savaer air filter and my engine wsa runing like 280 at 4 turn s from out on the hsn. i moved the air filter out from between the roll bar and put it between the tank and the roll bar. had to cut teh body to do that though. is this normal and will moving it fix it?

The motor saver flow more air into the engine meaning it natrually leans it out a bit. Richen the HSN about 1/8 to 1/4 turn and you should do better.

wat u should do is get a hose like a nice alluminum plated laundry hose and get it long so that it wraps around ur cara nd goes

to the bottom
in the fron
so u get get the coolest air in the engine...
i dont know if it will work

Anything infront of the engine is cool air.... The body doesn't hold enough heat in to have that make a difference.

When I added my motorsavers on small and big-blocks I had to richen my Hi-speed needly 1/4 to 1/2 a turn; a HUGE difference...

i think that my carb is a bit messed up. Before the motorsaver, at like 3 1/2 from out the thing wa a rocket so i was happy. now it is like 4 1/2+ from out and it is much better. a tad hot, but much better, gonna rich it a 1/8 today

With the MS air filter, my HPI .25 runs well between 4-5/8ths and 4-7/8ths on the HSN, and 3 on the LSN. Usually about 240 - 250F.
