clutch bell
ok ive done a quick search on clutch bell and nothing for what i want, Just as a matter of intrest when you put your clutch bell and bearings back on your crankshaft and put the little screw in the end does or should there be any movment forward and backwards on clutch bell?? Whats your opinion also tolorance in this movement??

There should be a little forward/backward motion so that it "floats". I can't give you the exact measure in mm, just something I have a feel for. Look at the spur with the CB against it, you sj\hould have forward/backward play but still have a good contact patch between gears no matter which way it walks.

it was just a matter of intrest to see or hear diffrent ppls way of installing the c/b. My mind does these things you will just have to put up with me!!

the last time i traded cb's i lost my bearing that goes between the screw and the cb[:@]
if there is too much movement, put some small washers inbetween the cb and the screw.
i got the ofna cb shims kit and it has a variety of washers from like 1mm to .4mm is my guess but some of them are pretty thin. it took about 4 or 5 washers to get it just right.
